Christ Church United, with Jesus as the cornerstone, is a community of faith and fellowship, seeking to serve,teach, and grow by sharing God's love.

To all who search for God, this church opens wide its doors and in the name of Jesus Christ, says “All are welcome” to our service of worship. WHAT WE BELIEVE Christ Church United is an expression of the Body of Christ in the world today. We are an affirming Church, saying “yes” to God who is revealed in Creation, manifest in Jesus Christ, present through the Holy Spirit and is known in the Bible, understood in the historic creeds of the Church, and experienced through one another in the community of faith OUR HISTORY Christ Church United of Dracut was established in June of 1969 out of a merger between the First Parish Congregational Church (Yellow Meeting House) and the First Evangelical Congregational Church (Hillside). Both churches have their roots in the first congregational society founded in Dracut in 1711. We are part of the United Church of Christ, a denomination born out of a merger between the Congregational Christian Churches and the Evangelical and reformed Church in 1957. Our denominational roots reach back too the arrival of the pilgrims on the Mayflower and the arrival of the first German immigrants in the 1840’s. As part of the United Church of Christ, this church is a member of the Northeast Association. OUR CHURCH AT WORSHIP Our worship is the most important event in the life of our church and is held at 10:00 am on Sunday morning and 6:30 pm on Wednesday night. In addition, special services are offered on Christmas and during Lent and Holy Week. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated the first and third Sunday of each month, which is open to all believers regardless of church affiliation. Baptisms are scheduled in consultation with the Pastor and are held during one of the worship services. We are saddened to learn of the death of Norma Meyers this past Sunday. Calling hours are Thursday March 28th from 9:00 to 10:45 in the morning at Morse-Baylis Funeral Home in Lowell. Her service will follow immediately after at 11:00AM at Morse-Bayliss, and burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen. A reception at Christ Church United is hosted by Loaves of Love at 1:00pm

Dear Friends and Members of Christ Church United: We are sad to announce that Norm Josephson passed yesterday morning, Monday, February 4. Norm was the husband of Judy and they were long-time members of this church until they moved to Hudson, NH and joined Pilgrim Congregational Church in Nashua, NH. Norm was 81 years on God’s good earth. The memorial service for David Norman Josephson is Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00AM at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 4 Watson St, Nashua, NH 03064. There are no calling hours. There is a luncheon following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Expressions of sympathy may be mailed to Judy Josephson, 49 Bowes Circle, Hudson, NH 03051. We hold Judy and the family and large network of their friends, many of whom are in this church, in our prayers.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of June Paquette. She passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital last night at 7pm. There will be no calling hours. We will be hosting the memorial service this Friday October 5th at 11am were we will celebrate June's life and faith. Please join us after the service for a luncheon hosted by Loaves of Love.

On the eve of the historic vote on whether three conferences should unite to join as one, The Rev. Traci Blackmon preached on how faith in God is what makes bold steps into the unknown possible. "It is always challenging to move from one place to another, always frightening to let go of what has been to walk into what will be," Blackmon said, drawing on Scripture to tell the story of Joshua leading the Israelites across the Jordan River, following the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant.
